In a unexpected collaboration that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the formal announcement, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome changes resonate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine group.

The questline concentrates on "peculiar tests and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Changes

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the mission will acquire an special katana alongside multiple items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
